Bulkheads
Bulkheads are designed as preventive fire protection to prevent fire from spreading, thus providing some time necessary to organize potential escape of people from endangered space, rescue of property and thus mitigation of damages caused by fire. The weakest link on a construction, if fire emerges, are building passages of installations, openings between single fire sections, various stoppers and bearing structures. These are mainly horizontal and vertical distribution passages, such as passages for electronic cable harnesses and cable trays, air conditioning, heating, cooling, water distribution, sewerage and also steel or concrete bearing structures of buildings. Therefore the attention must be paid mainly to good project readiness of constructions and then to correct layout and execution of the sealing system used. Fire bulkheads consist of special materials preventing spread of fire and enhancing fire resistance in the aforementioned cases, protecting steel and other bearing structures, fire stoppers and impregnating fireproof materials. The company AVAPS s.r.o. uses materials of prominent companies SVT and DUNAMENTI that are particular in high quality of existing systems and development of new systems, including their testing and certification in accredited test rooms, distribution of these materials and consultancy.
Combined bulkheads
Sealing of a passage of metal or plastic pipeline and air conditioning by creating a fireproof bulkheads.
The design of this seal is similar as the design of sealing of electric cables and trays. It only differs in overlaps of fireproof paints on permeating structures and necessity to complete the system at the seals of plastic tubes by fireproof sleeves, laminate or froth cement.

Sleeves for plastic pipeline
Discontinuation of plastic pipeline by fireproof sleeve
Big hazard for constructions is water distribution and sewerage. Most used materials for these distributions are plastics. These offer poor resistance to temperatures during combustion, mostly they are flammable and so fire spreading. When they burn out, openings are created with ideal parameters for penetration of fire through the fire structure of the wall and mainly through the ceiling (chimney effect). Application of a fireproof sleeve is a simple, yet very efficient provision. The sleeve froths under pressure shortly after fire emerges and then literally clips the plastic tube. The opening is fully filled with the frothed materials - graphite. Closed passage has ire resistance up to 180 minutes.

Painting cables and cable harnesses
Fire-fighting paints of cables and cable harnesses
An adequate layer of a froth paint applied on every cable or cable harness prevent fire from spreading on these installations. It is mostly used on able ways, cable protection in protected escape ways, in cable channels, etc. The paint is neutral to cable insulation and has very good thermal insulating properties. It excels with very good cohesion to the base. The paint can be applied either by spraying or manually by a brush or roller.

Protection of steel structures
Fire protection of steel structures by spraying with material on basis of mineral cotton.
The carrying capacity of an in-built steel structure determined to what extent this structure can be loaded above the specified carrying capacity. In cases when fore-proof boards cannot be used due to their high weigh, we recommend to use our asbestos-free fireproof spray. Also on surface of very complex steel structures a uniform and well cohesive spray can be created that ensures 30 to 240 minute fire resistance.

Fireproof foam
Fireproof seals of construction joints and passages of electric cables, cable harnesses and metal tubes by means of PU fireproof foam.
The system is suitable to seal less accessible passages of ceiling and walls, if a fast and supplementary application is needed. In reaction with water PU fireproof foam expands up to 30 times and seals the space and passage between installations. After hardening excessive foam is trimmed together with the structure.

Sealing of dilatation joints
Fire sealing of dilatation joints
By inserting a delivered prepared element consisting of one or two layers of industrial foam rubber and two to three layers of fireproof laminate, we can seal very quickly joints between the wall and the ceiling, as well as in the ceiling or in the wall. The system is very flexible and allows mutual movement of sealed structures whilst preserving their integrity.

Sealing of smaller passages
Sealing of smaller passages with expandable cement
Fireproof expandable cement is used in combination with mineral cotton. First, the passage is filled with cotton-wool like the lost boarding and then sealed with expandable cement. By acting of heat, cement enlarges its volume several times and creates a solid layer preventing fire from spreading to the other side of the fire parting structure. The system suits to seal small passages of installations and seals of building joints.

Sealing of passage of electric cables and cable trays
Soft fireproof plug forms a seal of a passage in a fire parting structure of ceiling or wall. It consists of hard mineral wool and subsequent application of an adequate layer of expanding fireproof cement and paint. The application of the system does not require any machine equipment therefore this method is one of the basic systems in sealing of a high number of passages of small or big dimensions, with various types of permeating installations. The surface of the plug is very flexible and allows easy refilling of e.g. new cables or repair of the plug if it gets damaged.

Sealing of passage by means of changeable fireproof cement containing graphite
The plug consists of mineral wool and special cement that multiplies its volume in case of fire. In addition to the aforementioned, the permeating installation develops such pressure that crushes even a thick-walled plastic tube, fills up the area between the cables and closes the way of flames to other areas. This sealing method is convenient for sealing of individual cables and cable harnesses or plastic tubes to 50 mm diameter, plastic electric bushings (the so-called goosenecks) and building joints.

Mountable sleeves for plastic tubes
Fireproof seals of plastic pipeline passage – mountable wraps
Same as with the fireproof sleeve, this system prevents fire from spreading by means of pressure discontinuation of pipeline and filling the emerged opening up with expanded graphite as a plug. The difference between the two solutions is only in the material used – separate fireproof laminate, and in the way of its application.
