Lateral Rolling Shutter
FIRE RESISTANCE: EW 15 DP1 TO EW 120 DP1 or. EI 120 DP1
Lateral shutter are used to part protected escape ways, to divide big industrial halls and sales areas in fire sections, to close openings through which continuous manufacturing line passes, etc.
The advantage of these fire stops is partition of fire sections in a large open space where classical vertical shutters cannot be installed.
Laterall fire shutter CONTOUR 2000 are supplied in many variants, for straight routes and also for various curved, angular openings, ovals or circles. They are manufactured on specific request, and the dimensions are adapted to various requirements.
The main quality required is the fire resistance of these shutters. Lateral shutter CONTOUR 2000 have fire resistance EW 15 DP1. In order to increase fire resistance or for bigger dimension of the shutter, spacing or spraying (cooling with water) can be utilized. Thus the fire resistance up to EW 120 DP1 or EI 120 DP1 can be achieved.
The lateral shutter CONTOUR 2000 was tested successfully in the PAVUS a.s. test room, and granted the certificate No. 216/C5a/2007/0022. The Manufacturer issues Declaration of Conformity for individual commissions, within the interpretation of Act No.22/1997 Coll., as amended.
Technical properties
- The shutter is made of specially formed steel lamellas of 76 mm height, with 1.2 mm sheet metal thickness. Both ends of lamellas are connected to drive chain.
- The design allows efficient solution of fire partition of large and curved spaces, there is even a possibility to couple two stops.
- This design system enables only 200 mm deep upper conduit.
- Standard dimensions of the shutter are to 50 x 4.5 m, option of two shutters closing against each other, i.e. the total area that is closed can be up to 100 x 4.5 m.
- The shutter is controlled electrically (400V), by means of a driving system (electric motor with gearbox and electromagnetic brake), with emergency control by a crank. For stops with complicated or long travel we deliver auxiliary driving units which are placed at required place on the upper conduit.
- It allows automatic closing from EPS switchboard (by 24V DC signal or potential-free contact).
- Electronic control of individual functions of the shutter proceeds by means of a special AOP control unit, including control elements (buttons or key control).
- This type of fire stops allows mechanical activation by means of safety fuse – the shutter is fully functional and without backup supply, or without a battery backup source.
- Local autonomous fire sensors, optical and acoustic signalling can be supplied together with the shutter.
- These steel stops have approximate weight: box 450 kg per 1 m of height, shutter 24 kg per m², upper guidance 30 kg per 1 m of length.
- The speed of the shutter closing is approx. 200 mm/s.
- Standard surface treatment of the shutter is effected by cold galvanizing, upon an agreement, the shutters can be delivered painted in a shade selected from the RAL sampler.
