Eurofold folding shutter used to part protected escape ways, to divide large industrial halls, sales areas and underground garages in fire sections, etc.

These folding fire shutter not only meet high requirements on fire resistance but also requirements on safety demanded by insurance companies.

The main quality required is the fire resistance of these shutters. The shutter EUROFOLD have fire resistance EW 15 DP1. In order to increase fire resistance or for bigger dimension of the shutter, spacing or spraying (cooling with water) can be utilized. Thus the fire resistance up to EW 120 DP1 or EI 120 DP1.

The fire shutter EUROFOLD was successfully tested in the PAVUS a.s. test institute, and was granted a certificate No. 0119/216/§5a/2005.


The manufacturer issues Declaration of Conformity for individual commissions, within the interpretation of Act No. 22/1997 Coll., as amended.

• The shutter is made of specially formed steel lamellas of 305 mm height, with 1.2 mm sheet metal thickness that are fixed to a scissor mechanism.
• The entire mechanism is suspended in an upper rail, 90 mm high, and down is guided in a steel ledge that is 45 mm deep, which is usually embedded in the floor.
• The design allows the shutter to be placed on an opening or into it (or combination of both variants, as the case may be), without any additional special structures, fixation in concrete, masonry or steel profiles.
• Standard dimensions of the shutter are to 15 x 5 m, bigger dimensions are possible upon consultation. Shutters that close against each other can be delivered upon request.
• The shutter is controlled electrically (400V) by means of an external driving system (electric motor with gearbox and electromagnetic brake), the drive enables emergency mechanical opening.
• It allows automatic closing from EPS switchboard (by 24V DC signal or potential-free contact).
• Electronic control of individual functions of the shutter proceeds by means of a special AOP control unit, including control elements (buttons or key control).
• Local autonomous fire sensors, optical and acoustic signalling can be supplied together with the shutter.
• These steel shutters have approximate weight 32kg/m²
• The speed of the shutter closing is approx. 200 mm/s.
• Standard surface treatment of the shutter is effected by cold galvanizing, upon an agreement, the shutters can be delivered painted in a shade selected from the RAL sampler.
